Question by KatamaDama: wind turbine generator?
I’m making a small wind turbine for a science project. It doesn’t need to produce a lot of electricity, just enough to register on a multimeter. I just need to know: For the generator, are magnets and coils the only things I need for the turbine to generate electricity? Or is there something else I’m missing? I just need this cleared up.

First, you need a decent blade design. In order to produce energy, the easiest way to get a generator is getting a brushless DC motor and connect it to the shaft. DC motors produce energy when they are rotated. But as I said in the top, you will need a decent blade design and the blade twist will be the most important factor here. Depending on the size of the hub, the twist will be something like 40 degrees on the root, 60 degrees at 1/4 of the blade longitude, 75 dregrees at 1/2, 80 degrees at 3/4 and 85 degrees at the blade tip. I hope this works for you.
