You said it cost about $2/watt in order make it yourself…. Real solar panels cost less than $2/watt today and have warranties, why would anyone want to spend countless hours doing this when they can buy a UL certified product that is safe.

Did I hear you say that each of your solar cells generate 4 watts each or are they 1.8 watts each? Most cells I find online only generate 1.8 watts.
duos it matter if the cells are touching or must there be a small space between them???
A word of warning, don’t try to use a scraper on tempered glass like this guy did. Tempered glass scratches easily. Better to use non-tempored glass for this project I think. Also, get glass wet before trying to scrape dirt from it.
